Dedicated Sovereign Connectivity

When security and digital independence are non-negotiable, shared satellite networks should not be an option.

Astranis MicroGEO satellites are small, powerful satellites that can be manufactured quickly and launched into high orbit faster than ever, giving governments and enterprises a faster go-to-market time with complete control over connectivity, data, and the digital future.

No shared capacity. No foreign dependencies. No compromise.

Why MicroGEO Satellites Beats Legacy GEO Satellites

  • MicroGEO satellites offer a significant manufacturing advantage, requiring only 12 months for completion compared to the 48 months typically needed for larger GEO satellites
  • Financing a MicroGEO satellite is more flexible than a legacy GEO. Unlike the large, upfront CapEx for a legacy GEO, MicroGEO can use an OpEx model, deferring payments until the satellite is operational in orbit
  • Operating at a high orbit ensures complete control over your data, removing any risk of foreign interference and eliminating the need for constellations.

About our Satellites

Prime

The world's first MicroGEO was Arcturus, a Ka-band communications satellite. All Astranis-designed hardware continues to operate in orbit, where the satellite continues to complete missions for commercial and defense customers. Three more Prime satellites have already launched, serving our partners across the globe, from the Philippines to the United States.

Omega

Omega is a broadband communications system with better pound-for-pound performance than any other geostationary satellite in orbit today. It will offer dedicated bandwidth, uncontended throughput per satellite while maintaining Astranis’s MicroGEO, small satellite form factor.

UtilitySat

UtilitySat is the world’s first multi-mission commercial GEO satellite, capable of conducting fully operational broadband connectivity missions in Ka, Ku, and Q/V bands.

A fully maneuverable satellite with onboard propulsion, UtilitySat will perform multiple such missions throughout its life on orbit — relocating or repointing each year, month, or day to serve urgent customer needs.

Vanguard

A fully air-gapped, rapidly deployable network using a dedicated satellite. In partnership with Persistent Systems, Kymeta, and Satcube. And we’ve demonstrated this capability using an operational, on-orbit satellite asset. Astranis Vanguard offers both defense and commercial customers the ability to quickly and easily spin up a resilient, self‑forming network capable of voice, video, and broadband data.

Space-tested, space-validated

We launched our first MicroGEO satellite in 2023 — Arcturus. Since then, we've launched four more. Astranis' MicroGEO satellites are now executing communications missions for government and commercial customers around the world.

On-board propulsion systems

We have already relocated our satellites multiple times, and are fueled for many more years of continued operation.

Software-defined radio

Our proprietary SDR allows us to reallocate bandwidth and power on the fly, across 9 GHz of simultaneous bandwidth.

Rad-hardened electronics

Astranis-designed hardware has already weathered multiple solar storms in space, without issue.
